Takeshi Sakurai, MD, PhD., is one of the discoverers of neuropeptide orexin, which plays a highly important role in sleep/wakefulness state regulation. He is a well-recognized sleep researcher both nationally and internationally, and has authored many publications in the field of sleep and orexin. S.R. Pandi-Perumal, M.Sc., has authored many publications in the field of sleep and biological rhythms.
