Borrowed Place ― Mission Stations and Local Adaption in Early Twentieth-Century Hunan

Author Riika-Leena Juntunen presents students, academics, and researchers with an examination of the establishment, reception, and development of Lizhou protestant stations during the early communist years in China. The author has organized the main body of her text in four chapters devoted to Fuyintang, developing identities within the local discourse, independent local communities, how the foreign problem was resolved after 1925, and a wide variety of other related subjects.
