中西文化閱讀(3)（簡體書）

《大學英語通識教程 中西文化閱讀（3）》共分8個單元，每個單元圍繞一個與文化相關的主題，包括Section A和Section B兩個部分，每個部分各包兩篇文章。Section A 以思考題為主，以拓展學生的思維能力；Section B 與大學英語四、六級考試的長篇閱讀相似。Section A中每篇閱讀材料的長度控制在500—700個詞，Section B中每篇閱讀材料的長度控制在900—1200個詞，文章難度循序漸進，長度依次遞增。編者在編寫中非常謹慎地對生僻詞匯進行了少量替換與處理，為學生提供了其難易程度均不超過大學英語教學大綱規定的詞匯范圍。
《大學英語通識教程 中西文化閱讀（3）》選擇的絕大部分文章源于互聯網、經典著作或國內外的各種報刊及書籍，選材新穎、題材廣泛、體裁多樣、信息量大。書中所有文章都是與中西方文化相關的內容，充分體現語言作為文化載體的作用，通過大量閱讀讓學生了解東西方文化。學生不僅可以欣賞地道的英語文章，培養英語語感，擴大詞匯量和拓寬知識面，而且可以在提高閱讀能力的同時發展其思辨能力，增強其人文素養。
