A group of international academics provides a broad overview of the use of reference models in the analysis of business systems. Several of the 16 peer-reviewed contributions discuss the process of developing and evaluating reference models. Others describe specialized reference models for certain types of businesses (i.e., industrial enterprises, savings banks, and e-businesses).
