John V. Pavlik is a professor of journalism and media studies at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He has written widely on the impact of new technology on journalism, media and society. His books include Media in the Digital Age (2008), Journalism and New Media (2001), and The People's Right to Know (1993).
Shawn McIntosh is an assistant professor of digital journalism and communication at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He has taught strategic communications at Columbia University's School of Continuing Education and at New York University's School of Professional Studies. He co-edited the book Zombie Culture: Autopsies of the Living Dead (2008).
