Jazz Band Series Collection features ten outstanding jazz ensemble arrangements at the medium difficultly level. Every chart is written by experienced educational jazz arrangers and composers in a variety of tempos and in swing, ballad and jazz-rock styles.
The collection is written for full instrumentation---five saxes, four trumpets, four trombones and guitar, piano, bass and drums. Additional optional parts are available for flute, horn in F, 1st/2nd/3rd baritone horn T.C./tenor sax and tuba.
The rhythm section parts offer suggestions for rhythms, piano chord voicings and guitar chord frames. All solos are written out in improvised sections. The conductor's book includes a full-length CD recording of all titles to listen to, study and use as a teaching tool.
