商品簡介
This study of Danish anti-immigration discourse analyzes techniques of Right-wing hegemonic strategy, revealing how Right-wing groups in Denmark have won over people who used to be aligned with the political Left over the past 30 years, in order to sway public opinion against Muslim immigrants. Drawing on ideas from discourse analysis and hegemony theory, the author veers away from the thinking of Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, arguing that the populist Far Right has been more successful than the socialist movement in its hegemonic strategy against Muslim immigrants in Europe.
