Born and raised in the rolling, bluegrass hills of Central Kentucky, Debbie Graviss has always been passionate about her family, animals and art.Debbie’s artistic inclinations inspired her to earn a BA in Interior Design followed by a BFA in Graphic Design. Through a series of events that began with volunteering her time with the Woodford Humane Society, the artist has gone on to combine her dual degrees with an enduring love of God, nature and animals.Applying a painterly style, Debbie’s engaging works are noted for capturing the essence, humor and personality of her subject matter while still maintaining a fine aesthetic.The Kentucky Arts Council has selected Debbie, as a juried artist. Highly sought after for her commissioned work, her original paintings hang in many private and public collections.The artist’s work has been featured in a number of publications including International Artist, American Art Collector, Kentucky Homes & Gardens, Artists Across Kentucky, and Stationery Trends Artist Profile.Today Debbie and her husband, Joe Graviss live with a plethora of animals on their own little piece of paradise in Woodford County, Kentucky.
