Allan Tannenbaum's career in photography spans more than four decades. His first work as a professional photographer was in 1973 for theSoHo Weekly News, and he remained with that paper until it folded in 1982. He now works as an international photojournalist contributing to various noted publications including Time, Life and Newsweek. He is the author of three books of his photography: including New York in the 70s (Feierabend, 2003), New York (Feierabend, 2004), andJohn and Yoko: A New York Love Story"(Insight Editions, 2007)
Peter Occhiogrosso has authored or coauthored more than 20 books in the past 25 years. He began his writing career as a jazz critic and music journalist and served as music editor for Manhattan’s trend-setting arts newspaper theSoho Weekly News during the 1970s and ‘80s. He has also written about music for Playboy, The Village Voice,Melody Maker (England), and Swing Journal (Japan), among many others. Since then he has collaborated on a number of books with entertainment figures including talk show host Larry King; cabaret legend Michael Feinstein; and rock icon Frank Zappa, whose autobiography Peter coauthored. He also created the book version of the legendary “rockumentary” film,This Is Spinal Tap, working with the members of “England’s loudest band.” He is currently at work on a memoir of his life in the jazz and rock music scene of Downtown Manhattan from 1966 to 1982. He lives in Woodstock, NY.
