This book includes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 18th Annual RoboCup International Symposium, held in Joao Pessoa, Brazil, in July 2014. The 36 revised papers presented, among these 11 champion team papers, 3 special track on open source hard-and software papers, 9 papers on the advancement of RoboCup leagues track and 3 best papers, were carefully reviewed and selected from 66 submissions. The papers present current research and educational activities within the field of robotics and artificial intelligence with a special focus on the interaction between robots and humans.
