Ralph and Rochester read articles about using the small plastic building blocks to teach young people with autism spectrum disorder how to use language, and started experimenting with sessions for the young people they work with. Here they share what they have learned during several years to help professionals and parents to set up and run their own sessions. They cover what autism and language impairment are, building language using LEGO blocks and LEGO therapy, aims, why building language using LEGO bricks works, starting off, progressing skills, guidelines for setting up and running sessions, measuring outcomes, and examples of cases.
