Beyond the Brain ─ Embodied, Situated and Distributed Cognition

Benoit Hardy-Vallee is a postdoctoral fellow in the department of philosophy at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the naturalization of rationality and the theoretical issues raised by empirical approaches to economic rationality. He wrote several articles on decision-making and neuroeconomics. Nicolas Payette is a graduate student in the department of philosophy at the Universite du Quebec a Montreal. He has a background in computer science and is interested in how computer simulations can help solve philosophical problems. His current research focuses on multiagent models of the evolutionary development of science.
