Whenever I'm With You

Gabi despairs when her dad moves them to Alaska -- but there she meets Kai. They have an immediate connection, sharing kisses while the midnight sun glitters. Until winter comes. Suddenly, Kai pulls away for no reason at all. He's short with her, rude. Then one day, he disappears.

From Kai's twin, Hunter, Gabi learns that their father died a year ago in a terrible accident. Hunter thinks Kai must be making a dangerous pilgrimage to their father's "grave" in the wilderness outside Fairbanks. He's so angry at his brother for going off without him that he doesn't even want to follow. Kai made his own bad decision: let him live with it. But Gabi's hurt at Kai's coldness turns to serious concern. This is the boy who saved her from the dark. She can't lose him to it.

So Gabi convinces Hunter to join her on wild road trip north -- a trip that will challenge them physically and emotionally, as they try to convince the boy they love to return home.
