Alexis Perkins graduated magna cum laude from Norfolk State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and broadcast journalism. Alexis then went on to get her Group Exercise Certification and Personal Fitness Trainer Certification through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Tyshawna went to a performing arts high school called Newark Arts High where she was an art major. She then earned a master's degree in architecture from Hampton University. Tyshawna is also a dance fitness instructor who teaches Zumba and a MixxedFit National Trainer and Master Educator.
