C.J. Mackie, Ph.D. (1984), University of Glasgow, is Associate Professor in Classics at the University of Melbourne. He has published a book on Vergil'sAeneid ('Characterisation of Aeneas', Edinburgh, 1988) and numerous articles on early Greek epic poetry and myth.
