This guide outlines economic models of arts therapy and provides advice on operating and sustaining a for-profit creative arts therapy business. While most contributors are music therapists from around the world, one chapter is devoted to creative arts therapy businesses in the US. Topics include arts therapy entrepreneurs, ethics and marketing in arts therapy, the value of therapy, and problems of structural violence. Three chapter-length case studies illustrate the growth of three different creative arts therapy practices. The book can be used as a guide for practitioners starting their own arts therapy practice.
