A Concise Introduction to Hypercomplex Fractals

This book explains the nature and a way of generation of fractals based on recursive equations staring from the simplest 2-dimensional ones, through the higher-dimensional (4- and 8-dimensional), and ending on multidimensional generalizations. The book presents the topics on complex and hypercomplex dynamics in many illustrative examples, including coloring and rendering techniques useful in such applications as image compression algorithms, computer graphics including generation of fractal landscapes (used in many Hollywood movies), stock analysis and prognosis, signal processing, technical diagnostics, condensed matter physics, cosmology, and others.

Prof. Andrzej Katunin received B.Sc. (2006) in mechanical engineering from Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, and the M.Sc. (2008), Ph.D. (2012) and D.Sc. (2015) in the same discipline from Silesian University of Technology, Poland. His scientific works on fractals cover both purely mathematical studies as well as application issues in computer graphics and various engineering fields.
