Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge Tpack Framework for K-12 Teacher Preparation

Niess reports on research in how to train K-12 teachers to incorporate technology that did not exist when they were learning to be teachers and learning their particular subject area. The goal of the project was to design an online Master of Science program to prepare teachers for integrating technologies in teaching mathematics and science at the pre-college level. The program met the graduate requirements for the campus-based face-to-face Master of Science program, though the delivery involved asynchronous online coursework for participants throughout the world.
