Mediterranean ─ A year around a charmed and troubled sea

British-Australian adventurer and environmentalist Huw Kingston's account of his remarkable year-long circumnavigation of the Mediterranean Sea. It combines adventure travel and physical endurance with human stories and the celebration of friendship. He tells of the people and places of the Mediterranean countries of Europe and North Africa.

Huw has spent over 30 years undertaking long journeys by human-powered means in wild places across the world. He has numerous awards to his name including the Australian Geographic Spirit of Adventure Award and was named as one of Time Magazine's 25 Worldwide Responsibility Pioneers. Huw is also an ambassador for Save the Children Australia and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
