Comprail ― Railway Engineering, Design and Operation

Selected from presentations to a conference held in Madrid on an undisclosed date, 30 papers explore the use of advanced railway systems, and promote the general awareness of new developments in the management, design, manufacture, and operation of railways and related transport systems. The topics include the relationship between accessibility improvement and residential property appreciation: an observation from Shanghai Metro, train timetable rescheduling generation based on vehicle type and train route combinations, lifecycle versus element costs: a new approach to optimize the power supply system design in railway infrastructure, an efficient contact model for dynamic interaction analysis of high-speed train and railway structure including derailment during an earthquake, and an analytical method for extending passenger counts in a metro system.
