Drew Feynman (aka Simon Glass) has always loved the process of making pictures, but after attending the Berlin Character Design Conference in 2005, he decided to focus on character development. With two small children, Simon has spent many hours sharing the delights of picture books, so children's illustration was a natural progression.
A former chef, Drew earnt a BA in Visual Communication (under the tutelage of Henrik Drescher) and has worked in a number of creative roles including in-house designer and illustrator for an award-winning Television New Zealand website as well as agency work in New Zealand, the UK, and the U.S.
Although Drew has always enjoyed the simplicity of pencil and paper, he also loves Mac-based design and is currently exploring the nuances of watercolor and gouache.
Drew lives in Auckland, New Zealand with his wife and two daughters.
