Josie Meets a Jaguar

Nine-year-old Josie Garcia is a feisty and optimistic girl from Brooklyn who becomes a crusader for preventing disastrous climate change and other environmental threats. Josie Meets a Jaguar, Book 2 in the Josie Goes Green series, finds our heroine back in Ecuador, this time in the Amazon jungle village of Sayaku. She and her new friend Lucia get lost in the Amazon rainforest, until they meet a jaguar and follow her back to the path. Once safely home, they soon discover that the jaguar's forest home is in trouble from loggers. Josie and her pals back in Brooklyn help Sayaku sell a special solar jar that can make money for the village—but will it be enough to save the forest and their friend, the jaguar?
