商品簡介
This study examines sentiments for and against the Confederacy in Bartow County, Georgia, an area of southern Appalachia chosen to study because it had rural and urban populations of wealthy, merchants, and poor. The study uncovers the origins and development of Confederate nationalism in Bartow County, and shows how support for white supremacy continued there after the Civil War into the Reconstruction era and after. The study relies on primary sources including letters, diaries, newspapers, and documents. Annotation ©2017 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
