商品簡介
In this documentary and memoirs, author Mohamed Ammouri blends history with his life story. He takes you on a journey as he grows up Palestinian in Beirut, Lebanon, with a hunger to return to his homeland. It is what drove him and became his mission in life. He presents the reader with an inside view of the PLO, with its positive and negative events that helped shape the Palestinian revolution movement, as told by a Palestinian struggle activist, who started at the age of 12, making his way from the grassroots all the way to his interactions with historical and top leaders of Fatah, the PLO, and other Palestinian leaders. He reveals his life story and shares with you the lives of his close friends and Palestinians in general. Covers the events of the last 60 years. From Sabra and Shatila, to the United States, then to Palestine—a return unlike the lifelong dream he held. Take a walk with Mohamed as he presents the Palestinian version of the events, highlighting the thoughts and beliefs of the Israeli side as well. He reveals the stages of the unsuccessful peace settlement agreements and the dream which is yet to be achieved. In the end, the author guides the reader to his belief in a one-state solution—where Palestinians and Israelis—Muslims, Christians, and Jews—can live together in harmony, putting aside racism and discrimination, in a just and democratic society. This book is a reference to almost all significant events, parties and people involved in this conflict which continues to capture the world attention.
