商品簡介
In this dissertation, the author argues that there is a gap between well-being and gender equality promotion and considers how the human capabilities approach can contribute to creating that link in the Global South and to gender mainstreaming, to promote gender equality in international cooperation for development by asking development professionals to include a gender perspective in their work. She describes her theoretical framework, including the concept of development and the capability approach; her methodology using grounded theory with a German development organization and its efforts in Bolivia; and analysis of how development helpers in this organization construct their role, its impact, and the relationships, attitudes, and roles of technicians and agro-leaders in Bolivia, and how these actors interact in the context of the implementation of gender mainstreaming and talk about gender, gender equality, and strategies for promoting it.
