商品簡介
Dr. Giora sorts out the merits and limitations of the classical Freudian view of the Unconscious as well-spring and repository of narratives - specifically, dreams, symptoms, and literary creations. Proceeding from the perspective of developments in cognitive psychology, Dr. Giora concludes that, because the contents of the Unconscious are ultimately unknowable, narratives are better addressed apart from that cornerstone construct. His examination constitutes another chapter in his ongoing critical dialogue with psychoanalysis.
