商品簡介
Scholars of psychology and physics explore the ongoing implications of the encounter of Wolfgang Pauli (1900-58), one of the architects of modern quantum theory, with Carl Gustav Jung (1878-1961), pioneer of analytical depth psychology. They shared an interest in a worldview better adapted to the extended body of scientific knowledge than what philosophers had offered so far. The psychophysical problem they identified was how the interface between the physical and mental was to be understood, and on which idea of reality it could be grounded. Among the topics are the influence of German Romantic science on Jung and Pauli, quantum measurement and the Paulian idea, dual support for Pauli's dual aspects, investigating synchronistic events in psychotherapy, and time and Tao in synchronicity.
