商品簡介
Fitzpatrick (law, U. of Washington, St. Louis) presents eight separately authored chapters that explain the procedures that refugees and displaced persons can use in attempting to get the United Nations to address their plights. The four committees authorized to receive complaints are detailed, along with their overlapping mechanisms for redress. Procedural guidance and relevant jurisprudence is presented and analyzed. Other chapters address the particular interests of the forcibly displaced that should be considered by United Nations officials working with the displaced. A number of appendices provide the texts of human rights manuals, guiding principles on displacement, lists of state parties to human rights treaties, contact information for UN treaty bodies, sample complaint forms, and other relevant documents.
