作者簡介
Dr. Meg John Barker is a public engagement academic at the Open University specialising in sex and relationships. They are one of the co-editors of the major journal in this field, Psychology & Sexuality (Taylor and Francis). They are also an internationally recognised researcher in the area, having published numerous academic books and papers on related topics including bisexuality, non-monogamy, sadomasochism, sex advice, sex therapy, and psychotherapeutic practice across gender and sexually diversity. They recently published the Palgrave Handbook of the Psychology of Sexuality and Gender (Palgrave, 2015, with Christina Richards).
Meg John’s focus is on public engagement and they have now written several books for the general public including Rewriting the Rules (Routledge, 2013), The Secrets of Enduring Love (Penguin RandomHouse, forthcoming 2016, with Jacqui Gabb), Introducing Queer Theory (Icon Books, forthcoming 2016), and Sex: A Practical Guide (Icon Books, forthcoming 2017, with Justin Hancock). Meg John also regularly speaks on these topics in the media, including a popular TED talk and being featured in the Independent on Sunday Rainbow List. They are a popular invited speaker, and are also involved in running many public events on sexuality and relationships themselves, including Sense about Sex, Critical Sexology and Gender & Sexuality Talks.
