商品簡介
A new category of crime fiction is emerging in which women characters, often stereotypically portrayed as victims, are instead the physically and intellectually capable heroes—lawyers, police officers and forensic investigators—whose professionalism resembles that of their creators. This book looks at the writing and criminal justice careers of feminist crime fiction authors like Dorothy Uhnak, Kathy Reichs, and Linda Fairstein. It explores the influence of their real-life experiences on their novels and how these experiences make their messages about unequal justice systems that much more compelling.
