商品簡介
This study outlines lessons for the UK that can be learned from Norway’s EU affiliation, exploring both formal and informal arrangements. The book begins with background on the UK’s objectives, options, and constraints in relation to Brexit, then overviews the EU’s range of affiliations with non-members, examining issues such as borders and different modes of affiliation. The book then overviews the Norway model, looking at both the European Economic Area Agreement and Norway’s affiliation with the EU. One chapter is devoted to legal analysis of the concept of sovereignty in relation to the Norway model; the next chapter offers a political analysis, differentiating between legislative, judicial, and executive sovereignty. The book concludes by assessing lessons on Norway’s EU experience for the UK post-Brexit and looks at implications of Brexit for the EEA countries.
