Qualitative Data Analysis is a classic text that has helped thousands of graduate students since its first publication in 1984. The Fourth Edition’s presentation of the fundamentals of research design and data management is followed by five distinct methods of analysis: exploring, describing, ordering, explaining, and predicting. Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman's original research studies are profiled and accompanied with new examples from Johnny Saldaña's recent qualitative work, and now also examples from other recent studies that have used the framework from this book. New graphics have been added, other conceptual frameworks are drawn upon, new forms of data are covered, and the book is now more broad-based and will appeal to researchers from a variety of disciplines. The Fourth Edition also moves the book in a more humanistic and less post-positivist direction.
