Low-power and High-sensitivity Magnetic Sensors and Systems

Two scientists working at Soreq NRC analyze the sources of noise and clutter that magnetic sensing system developers encounter, describe example magnetic systems surveillance and survey applications, introduce several methods for reducing the power consumption of fluxgates, and propose a digital selective bandpass sampling where the fluxgate output is sampled only once. The last chapter explains how magnetic anomalies generated by the presence of moving ferromagnetic objects can be detected and localized using suitable digital signal processing tools.
