Trina Dawkins Patterson has a genuine desire to mentor and encourage others, especially youth. She believes a kinder more compassionate world begins with children. For this reason, Trina created A Tale of Two Cookies, the first in a series of 3 books designed with messages of kindness, courage, and integrity. The series, beginning with A Tale of Two Cookies, will allow her to expand the reach of her youth program, The Cookie Movement, where self-esteem, abstinence, and building healthy relationships are the key areas of focus.Originally a native of Flint, Michigan, Trina has lived and worked in several cities across the country so, like Ola the oatmeal cookie, she understands the challenges of being new to a city and making new friends. Mrs. Patterson holds her B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University. She received her Montessori Teaching Certification from Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center.
