英美概況(第2版)（簡體書）

《英美概況（第2版）》為高職高專院校英語專業的必修課教材。教材以全新的視角，用7章深入淺出地介紹了英美兩國文化的7個主要方面：歷史、地理、政治、宗教、教育、休閒生活、文學。《英美概況（第2版）》編寫方法獨到，每章先以一句簡潔的英語諺語引入話題，同時列出本章的重點概念，讓學生明確學習要點，有的放矢地進入各章的學習。各章均分為英國和美國兩部分。其編寫結構為：讀前活動；閱讀；讀後活動；測試練習；註釋；詞彙瀏覽。書稿用英文撰寫，閱讀課文附有中文譯文。本教材可作為高職高專院校英語專業的必修課教材，也適用於成人院校的英語專業學習者和英美文化愛好者。本教材避免生僻詞彙，英語詞彙量在3000以上的學習者均可使用。

國內外英語教育專家一致認為：要想學好英語，就必須了解英語國家的歷史背景、地理概貌、政治制度、價值觀念、教育體係等方面的基本知識，因為語言是文化的載體，語言與文化息息相關。

教材特點
根據多年的教研經驗，我們發現，英美概況教材僅靠簡單的文字描述很難吸引學習者的興趣，也就無法提高學習者的學習能力。與國內現有的英美概況教材相比，本教材具有以下亮點：
1.注重英語語言能力培養，將英語閱讀策略融入教學活動設計中。通過教材滲透式活動設計，培養學習者的閱讀策略，從而提高其終身學習的能力。
