Beginner / Intermediate reading
Modern Topics shows students that reading, even from a textbook, can
still be relaxing and fun. The reading articles are written in an adolescent
voice, which naturally brings out topics and points of interest that students
can easily relate to. Teachers who like to outsource for playful or high
interest reading material will find this series a nice fit.
The series offers more (16) reading articles and shorter (5 to 10 questions)
exercises to keep the flow going. Grammar Point focuses on the messages
behind grammatical rules rather than the rules themselves. The goal is for
students' use of English to become second nature while teachers have
some fun, too.
