Felicity, Shay's cousin, is persistent in her offensive behavior towards Taya. Taya's mother is horrified when Taya suggests she should never have been born. When a tragedy strikes, Taya is thrust into an agonizing situation.

A principal tells Rylie's unsuspecting parents their daughter may have serious emotional problems. As Rylie attends therapy for unexplained withdrawal from her friends and family, she is stubborn and refuses to participate. When the Dr. suggests medication may be the answer, her parents are against it, but at a loss as to how to help her. When Parker, her sister, overhears them discussing it, she suggests a profoundly different way to bring Rylie around.
