The author presents a fresh look at the words and teachings of Christ and the Apostles to enable readers to re-examine the Evangelical's support of the "land based restoration of Israel" which involves the establishment of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the rebuilding of the temple and restoration of Israel's original borders. The author shows that Christ does not support this "earthly restoration" of one nation but a restoration of the whole world, including the Palestinians and Israelis. The author argues that supporting the physical restoration of Israel will create more pain and bloodshed for Palestinians and Israelis. To underline the dangers of misinterpreting the Scriptures the author reviews how the Bible has been used to demonize the Jews, commit genocide of Native Americans, and support the enslavement, discrimination and abuse of black persons in the United States.
