God wants us to live in victory. He delights in our success and wellbeing. He knows that we cannot achieve these on our own. We have to rely on Him and follow His guidance. Thus, the Lord continually sends us dreams and visions as a simple and effective way to lead us. There are accurate reports that in some countries where Christianity is not tolerated, (and the few Christians are harshly persecuted) the Lord Jesus has continued to appear to several people (some of them not Christians) in dreams and visions. He has spoken to them, and given them specific instructions in dreams and visions. You might not have previously given any thought to the importance of your dreams. Possibly you never imagined that dreams come from God. Most dreams are from God, and they are for your counsel, guidance, encouragement, comfort, direction, and often warning. You may be missing a lot from God. There are certain things that no one else will dare to tell you due to their sensitivity. Similarly, others may avoid revealing to you information of a confidential or embarrassing nature. But not God. God has promised that whatever shall happens to us, (or on earth) He will let us know ahead of time; "When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it? Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets" (Amos 3:6-7). Thus nothing happens by chance on earth; "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:29-31). Therefore nothing happens on earth that puzzles God, or takes the Lord God by surprise. Whatever happens is that which He has allowed, and foretold to us His servants and the prophetsYou are possibly faced with an extremely important or difficult decision to make. You have weighed options, asked experts, and prayed over this for a while. You wish that God could speak to you and give you a definitive answer. This dilemma is not difficult for God at all. There are many ways He can help you, and one of them is to reveal to you the right choice through dreams and visions. The Lord is waiting to give you the absolute answer before you make a move. So do not make a premature move. Seek Him and listen. He will let you know. Some persons may be plotting evil against you (and you are not even aware). Perhaps they have done this regularly, and other people can see the visible clues all around you. Yet you have no idea about the wicked intentions of these people about to harm you. Yet, before they even conclude their plans the Lord will give you (not just one but) regular updates, in dreams and visions. Also, by a simple prayer or action that the Lord reveals, you are able to cooperate with God and cancel their pans and put them to flight. As prophesied by Isaiah, "no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you" (Isaiah 54:17). Your business may be going downhill, or on the verge of collapse, so do not sit by and wish. You may be sick, ill or unwell and need instructions from God. You may be facing an uncertain job future or financial times. Instead plead with the Lord to reveal to you an answer, a plan, or what to do next. Whereas, the Lord can use any method He pleases to reach you, there is need for you to pay attention to your dreams and visions as well. He may send you one dream to re-direct you, and that will be all you need.The prophets foretold that in our days' dreams and visions will increase, and it will be one of the ways God speaks frequently to us; "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions" (Joel 2:28).
