Spiritual Food for a Searching Soul

In an era when we are encouraged to make decisions based on feelings, it is important to know that feelings can push us to make many mistakes in our lives, harm ourselves and hurt others. They can be the cause of our misery especially if we are particularly sensitive and a suspicious person. The difficulty is that feelings can give us a wrong perception of what is happening and cause us to believe what we feel is accurate, while the truth is far away from what we perceive. In our spiritual journey, feelings can be like temptations. If we listen to them, we may reject or destroy a blessing that the Lord has sent us. If we are involved in a relationship and there is something we don't understand, before making any accusation, it is better to ask questions and verify if the perception we have is really true. It is so easy to be judgmental while we are far away from the truth. We all have the capability to bring about peace, if we choose to do so, because the Lord has blessed us all with the gift of conscience where He continues to speak to us wherever we are. If we refuse to be conscious of this duty in which we have to work in developing better ways to communicate, there will always be problems in our midst.

Many relationships are destroyed today because someone in the relationship feels something and starts a war based on his or her feelings.
