Deadly Probabilities

All Ann McCarthy wants is to finish eighteen more months of corporate consulting so she can sell her third of the partnership and return to West Virginia to honor her dying mother's wishes. Her plans go asunder when she pulls an odd device from her bag. Client Logan Kassell-former SEAL and head of security for an international company-recognizes it as a fake explosive and a dire warning. Meanwhile, Logan has promises of his own to keep, including demonstration of a stable, dependable routine so he can take custody of his kid sister away from a cruel uncle. Suddenly, Ann and Logan are on the run, dodging bullets, evading abduction, and seeking respite in Logan's mountain cabin, even as it becomes clear the threat is coming from inside one of their own companies.
