In 2015, Lucy Fuggle chose to leave behind her life in the UK, as well as lifelong shyness and the predictable career that was expected of her, to live the adventurous life she really wanted alone in the Swiss Alps. For three years, she enjoyed the company of the mountains, trees, and soaring eagles of the Berner Oberland.
In summer, she found physical and mental strength hiking every trail around her house, including the Via Alpina trail 400 km across Switzerland. The coldest time of the year saw her switch hiking for freezing lake swims, snowshoe hikes, and glacier treks.
