商品簡介

"UNA VITA ABORTITA' is the first volume in the series 'ITALIANS OF AMSTERDAM' by Esposito Romano. The novel presents a dystopian world ruled by a decurion oligarchy that violates any human right that might be considered inalienable. Esposito, a writer enlisted in the propaganda against the hegemonic dictatorship, shows the grievances and tribulations of his younger subjects, deprived of hope for the future. He reveals a harsh criticism of the conservatives and the immobility of his own era, who he considers guilty of the economic, psychological and an-thropological disaster in force. The monopolistic elite, the Leviathan, will use the pretext of an epidemic disease, carried by the bite of aegypti mosquitoes, to consolidate the new status quo. The MPP, Movement for Peace in the Present, will oppose through illegal acts the control of private citizens exercised by the decurion despotism, constituting an antistate based on the principles of anarchism.Esposito Romano is afflicted not only by the malaise of his times but also by an aware-ness of the harmful effects that marginalisation has had on him, which is manifested in a prose that describes a slow progression towards delirium. Amorous adventures punctuate a novel that is a portrait of the conflicts inherent in man: carnal attraction and sexual drive that predominate almost obsessively over the intimate and affective components, although they too constantly subvert the protagonist's thoughts. Adolescent travails, domestic cultivation of hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana, acts of promiscuous sexuality and picturesque extras dilute the articulated themes and complex sociological and existential reflections presented by the narrator. From a linguistic point of view, the writing appears experimental. Realist dialogues of a dialectal nature alternate with D'Annunzio's formal research and immediacy, the latter being comparable to the dynamism of the Beat and Dirty Realism. The prose is concise but intense, rich and open to multiple interpretations. Adherence to Esperanto led the author to take hallucinogenic San Isidro mushrooms when writing the paragraphs in Stream of consciousness."My modus operandi has been that of the shoplifter: immersing myself in the quicksand of experience, life, I have indulged in a realist, soliloquy of the psychonautic philosopher."E.R.
