Celine and Cyrus: Book 14

The Rapid Reading book series allows readers to slowly acquire the decoding skills needed in the right order to learn to read and become fluent readers. The series contains interesting, colorful stories with the reading skill emphasized on every page. The constant repetition of prevalent decoding skills allows readers to quickly and efficiently practice the sounds, thereby internalizing them and becoming fluent readers.Book 14 of the series emphasizes the soft "c" sound, which sounds like the "s" rather than the "k" by following a simple rule: The story follows Celine and Cyrus who leave their daily routines in town to travel to the city and put on a concert. This book continues the third, two-book set of the series (books 13 & 14), which allows learners to differentiate between the hard and soft "c" and "g". **This book also contains reading rules to facilitate the reading of the silent "e" words. The soft "c" sounds are marked on each page to allow for a simpler and smoother reading experience.
