John Graves Simcoe was a British citizen who came to the US shortly before the revolution broke out. It was interesting to note that he tried to work with George Washington. George Washington did not trust him and refuse to use him, so this gentleman joined the Queen's Rangers. By the time the Revolutionary war was over most Americans wanted to hang him, and most British thought well of him. This book covers major Robert Rogers who formed the unit that Simcoe would ultimately lead. Simcoe fought in a number of battles including many where no mercy was given to the enemy or those assumed to be the enemy. Latter parts of the book cover Simcoe's life after the Revolutionary war.
