Many Christians nowadays have preconceived ideas about the Lord and how He works. They believe that He should show up and move on their behalf using certain methods, and when He doesn't do as expected, they become disappointed. These Christians have put God in a box, not realizing that their belief system can cause them to miss out on the blessings that God does indeed have for them. Blessings in Disguise: The Journey of Two Souls and How They Both Heal Together in the Most Unusual Way by Eli K. Anyadi is an inspiring story which describes how God used unexpected circumstances to impact the lives of two people who were desperately in need. Based on true events in the author's life, the book follows the journey of Kwami, a Ghanaian international student who is searching for a job in order to provide for his basic needs, and Bailey, a troubled four-year-old girl whose parents are trying to find a way to help her overcome her crippling fears. Weaving together the two narratives until they collide into one, Eli shares his powerful testimony of how the Lord ministered to him in an unfamiliar and unexpected way, showing readers that God is always working behind the scenes on our behalf, even when we do not see it. In these current times of uncertainty and difficulties, Blessings in Disguise is a welcome reminder to us that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts truly higher than our thoughts. Eli K. Anyadi, a husband and a father, is a Christian author based in Maryland, who was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa. He moved to the US permanently after pursuing an MBA degree in healthcare management and is passionate about shepherding young adults to be better Christians.
