Before Rebecca Brant (Bex) heads to NYC for her intership, she leaves behind a bombshell of an anonymous letter for the newspaper at her campus university. Having had enough, Bex uses the letter to call out an elitist secret society for their harsh tactics and control over events on campus. But, she's not prepared for how she feels once the letter is splayed acorss the campus paper. What has she done? Will everyone guess it was her? Has she betrayed her friends in the secret society? And why is Sawyer, her assistant from the paper blowing up her phone?
When Sawyer is left to send the paper to press, he can't believe what he sees dead center on the front page. Could it be? No. She's too loyal, she'd never? But as his fears take over, he desperately feels the need to speak with Bex. He also needs to watch his step in order to keep his feelings for her at bay because she's his best friend's girl.
As the leader for the secret society on campus, Lane must come up with a deceptive plan to protect his girlfriend's identity as the author of the anonymous letter. With plans to fly to NYC to see Bex, and to introduce her to a powerful, alum from the secret society, Lane thinks once she meets John Whitson Sinclair, and learns what he can do for her future career, she'll come around---she has to, Bex is his forever girl or is she? Lane's plans start out with success then take a drastic turn.
