Catholic Sexual Pathology and the Western Mind: The Medieval Era, Vol. 2 continues to document the correlation between Catholic sexual orthodoxy and Catholic sexual pathology. In 380 A.D. the Christian Church became the official religion of the Roman state government. The Catholic Church became the reincarnation of the Western Roman Empire (27 B.C.-476 A.D.) as it adopted the educational, medical, political, economic and military structures to become the crux of the Roman church government. The Medieval Catholic Church used pagan Greek, Roman and Persian sex negative codes while rejecting Hebrew sex positive codes and flawed German sex positive codes in establishing Catholic sexual orthodoxy. In the thirteenth century under a papal reign of terror heretics, Jews, witches, sodomites, prostitutes and lepers became targets of hate across Medieval Catholic Europe. The fascist medieval popes authorized the use of torture, prison, execution and excommunication for violations of Catholicsexual orthodoxy. The Roman church government continued to condemn all human sexual behavior contrary to nature--masturbation, oral sex, anal sex, contraception and bestiality. The ultimate penalty was death by fire. Heresy was an enlightened Christian reaction to corruption in Catholicism. Heresy was a desire to follow Jesus rather than the church. The Crusades (1095-1395), Papal Inquisition (1227-1500), Roman Inquisition (1542-1965), Spanish Inquisition (1478-1534), Portuguese Inquisition (1536-1821), Witch-Craze (1450-1750) and Wars of Religion--all of which under papal power mass murderedmillions of humans for violations of sex negative church doctrine--reveal the veneer of Catholic sexual pathology reinforced by Catholic institutional pathology. Christianity was born into a world of slavery. The church which preached sex negative doctrine to slaves practiced slavery in northern Europe until 1200 and in southern Europe until 1870. While few popes denounced slavery, the Catholic Church did not denounce slavery as an institution until 1864 in North America, 1870 in northern Europe, 1870 in southern Europe and 1890 in Latin America. The Catholic Church which tolerated the sexual abuse of slaves benefited politically and economically from the development of capitalism connected with the slave trade. The Catholic Church did not officially condemn the institution of slavery as evil until Vatican Council II (1962-1965).
