It will be clear that faith is considered from a variety of standpoints, which reflects, I believe, a prism through which an eclectic (or even catholic!) range of subjects can demonstrate the breadth of its significance of faith in my life. As Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI said in an address to teachers and Religious in the Chapel of St Mary's University, Twickenham, on Friday, 17 September 2010: 'Faith is not a light which scatters all our darkness, but a lamp which guides our steps in the night and suffices for the journey.'
