One Heart One Soul

One Heart, One Soul is a collection of poetry written in the voices of thirty-one deacon wives. Their voices woven together form a tapestry of faith and devotion. Each poem reflects their unique spiritual journey. Each faith-lit journey mirrors their common dedication.

One heart shared by each wife with her beloved husband/deacon. One soul married together in their abiding faith. Each wife's path in service to God and mankind alike, but not the same.

Her husband is known in the city gates, taking his seat among the elders of the land...She opens her mouth with wisdom, and teaching of kindness is on her tongue...Her children rise up and call her happy; her husband too, and he praises her.
